BIOGRAPHY

Nancy Luneau Herbst attended The Montserrat School of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts in the 1970s, majoring in Fine Art.

In the 1980s, she lived in Boston and worked as a Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer and began taking watercolor classes with the late Mr. Kaji Aso (1936 – 2006) at his studio “Nature and Temptation”, and due to his great influence, has been painting almost exclusively in that medium ever since.

After moving to Tempe, AZ, in the 1990s, she studied drawing and painting at the Scottsdale Artists’ School, which helped launch her from student to exhibiting artist and teacher (and lifelong student).

Nancy Herbst is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society (NWS), The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies (WFWS), and the Arizona Watercolor Association (AWA), and is a juried member of the Arizona Artist Alliance (AAA). She has been a member of the Waterworks Artists Critique Group since 2013.

Her paintings have been in solo and group exhibitions locally, regionally and nationally and have won several "Best of Show" awards, most recently in Arizona Watercolor Association's Fall 2015 show. Her work hang in homes and workplaces of many collectors throughout the United States.
