ARTIST STATEMENT

"I discovered the artist in me when I was a child.  Drawing has always been a passion.  As an adult, I look around and can see beauty in nearly every setting from a  flowering weed in a crack of an inner city parking lot to a long forgotten, rusted out truck.  I believe that if you look for beauty, you will find it."                                                                                                                                                     ~Laurie Sokiveta
